Michael A. Wiers was born and raised in St. Albans, Maine. He received a B.A. at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He received his J.D. from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. He is admitted to practice before the Federal and State Bars in Maine. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maine State Bar Association and the Somerset County Bar Association. Michael has been recognized for his work with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Maine Bar Association. On June 16, 2004, he received the first Lew Vafiades Pro Bono Award to an individual attorney in recognition of his exceptional commitment to providing equal access to justice for the people of Maine. Michael has served as an attorney for over thirty years in the areas of real estate, probate and estate planning, family law and business law.
Michael has served on the Maine Milk Commission since 1991 and currently serves as its chairman. He also served as the first chairman of the Northeast Dairy Compact.
Michael lives in St. Albans with his wife, Libby. They have two sons and two grandsons.
Dawn Huntt worked as a legal secretary at the Law Office of Michael A Wiers from June 1999 through August 2002, when she retired. She now serves as “an active retired” legal secretary.
Nancy Roy has worked as a legal secretary at the Law Office of Michael A Wiers in Newport since September 2006. She worked previously in the Hartland office. Before returning to Maine she worked as a legal secretary in Florida.
Denise Butler is a graduate of Beal College. She has 20 years of experience working as a business office manager. She started working as bookkeeper at the Law Office of Michael A Wiers in June 2008.
